Higher Achievement is an organization that provides academic enrichment and advancement programs for middle school students in Pittsburgh PA, Baltimore MD, Washington D.C. and here in Richmond. They work in tight collaboration with Richmond Public Schools at Henderson Middle School and Boushall Middle School and came to Richmond as part of the “Middle School Renaissance” initiative. Middle School is the "make it or break it" time for a child's academic future because it determines what opportunities they will have throughout High School and for college preparation. Higher Achievement Scholars can begin in 5th grade and continue through Middle School; the program aims to set children on the college track by 9th grade. And Inspire Indeed also welcomes a 7th grader in the Higher Achievement Academy! For more information, visit http://www.higherachievement.org.
