John Barbour was a major talk show host in the 1960s in Los Angeles. He had the confidence and connections to be able to interview Jim Garrison, New Orleans District Attorney, when he filed charges against Clay Shaw, et al, for the JFK assassination. The interview was never aired, and Barbour was fired when he booked Garrison for his show.
A few years later Barbour was the host of top rated TV show "Real People", and again he attempted to book Jim Garrison. The show was cancelled and Barbour again fired.
Finally, in 1992, Barbour produced and directed the award winning film "The Jim Garrison Tapes". This time there was coverage, in other nations. It has never aired on a public television station in the United States.
Reality Sandwich host Paul Kangas interviews John Barbour in this episode.
