Starting in January 2013 French forces along with an African intervention force took military action in northern Mali to stop Islamist fighters who took over the region a couple of months earlier. Canada has also vowed to help the mission with transport plains as well as special forces.
The question is: is this an action Canada should be involved in? Is intervention in Northern Mail the right answer? Or is this another civil war that western forces will be bogged down in?
