Arne Jungjohann from the Heinrich Boell Foundation, the Green Party's out reach arm, speaks about the impact that solar and wind have had in Germany in obsoleting nuclear power plants while creating jobs and an expanding economy. He talks about how they did it in cooperation with the pro business Conservative party. And he offers data that indicates it would be a win win situation for the U.S. if we had political leadership with sufficient intelligence and courage to follow Germany's lead (my analysis).

Akiko Yoshida, Friends of the Earth Japan, speaks about the broad grass roots support and organizing to prevent the Japanese government from reestablishing nuclear power in Japan.
