Your support is essential if the service is to continue, there are bandwidth bills to pay every month and failing disk drives to replace. For our Holiday Show this year we have the usual assortment of old time and bluegrass Christmas music, plus tunes for the Solstice, wassails and a few Klezmer tunes. But what is extra special is 15 members of the Richmond Sacred Harp Singers (here's their website: http://members.cox.net/rshs1/ ) packed in to WRIR's live room for some early 19th century shape note hymns. This is going to be great so give it a real listen! Otto and Josh
If you like this program, you can listen live every Tuesday night from 7-9pm, Eastern Time, on WRIR - http://www.wrir.org - 97.3 LPFM in Richmond VA. There are many other fantastic programs on WRIR, Richmond Independent Radio. Listen & support our station! Thanks.
