To end the studio portion of La Rage du Peuple, we play a short speech by Amir Hodhod of Solidarity Across Borders and the Workers Solidarity Network. Amir spoke outside the offices of Immigration Canada on April 3, 2006, as part of efforts to stop his pending deportation. (12:26; English)

Kader Belaouni hosts the last two hours of La Rage du Peuple from the St-Gabriel'â¢s Church in Point-Saint-Charles where he has been in sanctuary for one-year, defying a deportation order. This New Year'â¢s edition of Radio Sanctuary is his fifth show on CKUT. We'â¢ve included clips of Kader'â¢s chat with Tatiana Gomez about Solidarity Across Borders (18:03); Kader'â¢s own editorial about French politician Nicolas Sarkozy (3:03); an interview with Brett Story about her documentary about gentrification in Montreal (3:54); and an interview with Mostafa Henaway about organizing taxi drivers in Toronto (16:38).
