Barucha speaks from the Intergalactica Gathering in Chiapas, Mexico. She was present during he people'™s uprising in Oaxaca in 2006, which was defended by barricades. In this interview, recorded on December 27, 2006 for La Rage du Peuple, she speaks about the barricade, the role of women in the uprising, and the ensuing repression by paramilitaries. Barucha has 4 years of experience organizing with anti-authoritarian collectives in Mexico. (22:15; English)

Jose, currently residing in Montreal, is a community radio activist originally from Mexico City, where he was active with Radio Sabotaje. He currently organizes with the Zapatista-inspired La Otra Campana in Montreal. (16:11; English)
