Workplace Organizer Training- February 18th and 19th in Seattle

Cascade People's Center
February 18th and 19th
10:00am to 4:00pm *

Organizing in the workplace for justice is only one of many steps to be taken towards a better world. However, as multi-national corporations and U.S. labor law continue to work hand in hand against workers, the U.S. labor movement has taken many steps backwards. Today, workplace organizing falls dramatically short of the needs of workers in many industries.

Our union wants to see this change. We believe in building solidarity,
democracy, and workers power on the job. This is why we are hosting an
organizer training on February 18th and 19th, to empower a new generation of workers with the skills necessary to organize on the job. For us, this is the path to building a new alternative on the shop floor against corporate greed and injustice.

The training itself will be conducted by members of the Starbucks Workers Union and Bay Area IWW. Subjects covered will include salting, shop mapping, role playing, and other organizing tactics.

Regardless of whether you are frustrated at your job, want to fight for change, or are just curious about what union organizing is, you are welcome to join us for this training. Get a hold of the IWW at the following contacts with your phone number and email address. We will send you a registration form for the training.

Our email address is: sbw_iww@hotmail.com

Our voicemail is: 1.877.815.5684
