We start off the show with a musician who had a promising career in the 1940s but gave it all up to open a barber shop. There's a follow-up hit from the guy who supposedly gave us the first rock & roll record, we have one of the first female R&B vocal groups, a song Shirley Temple and Bill Robinson danced to, an early gem from B.B. King then finish off with a comeback song from Little Richard as well as one by his gospel-singing musical hero.
