Norman Otis Richmond, the bluesologist and political commentator, remembers one of our leading Black militants. Owen Leach was a regular presence at major battles against racism and capitalism in Toronto. He worked closely with such legendary Black leaders as Dudley Laws and Charles Roach. Otis Richmond was his close friend and recalls instances in which the reliable and wise actions of Owen Leach advanced the struggle against racism and class oppression.
