Phil applauded the series of sizeable Palestinian solidarity rallies that took place across Canada on short notice the previous week, as well as those in the USA, Europe, and around the world.
In France, Macron forbade demonstrations but they happened anyway. Last year, Macron marched with the King of Jordan and head of the Palestinian Authority and other world leaders in support of the human rights of people at Charlie Hebdo. But where the rights of Palestinians were concerned, Macron has tried to prevent demonstrations in their favour.
At the United Nations, the U.S. delayed a joint statement by the Security Council for a week. Instead of cooperating with the UN to bring justice and peace to Palestine, the U.S. is trying to keep ownership of the issue by sending an envoy to begin "talks". And they included an Egyptian to provide camouflage. But no one is fooled by this trick.
