The celebrated Progressive historian, political activist, and professor Howard Zinn is profiled in this radio adaptation of the documentary film, You Can't Be Neutral On a Moving Train.

Part 3 covers the enthusiastic reception by some schools of Zinn's A People's History..., Zinn as playwright, and his activities to forestall the US invasion of Iraq.

First, though, we'll hear President Trump (in September 2020) denouncing Zinn ... (Cont'd)
... for destroying schoolchildren's patriotism. And some remarks by Zinn (2009, interviewed by Amy Goodman) on what he would like children to learn about American history.

Speakers in this series including Alice Walker, Daniel Ellsberg, Marian Wright Edelman, Staughton Lynd, Noam Chomsky, Tom Hayden, and Zinn himself offer interesting perspectives on Zinn's times and his work. Narrator Matt Damon reads passages from Zinn's writings
