Welcome to This Week In Palestine, where each week you will hear the Palestinian narrative, the Palestinian perspective, the Palestinian voice exploring the realities of the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian homeland. You will not hear this narrative very often in the western media, which is why it is important that it is presented each week on This Week In Palestine. Your host is John Roberts.

This week’s presentation features Rev. Graylan Hagler, a true force in the Black church, civil rights leader, and a long, strong voice for Palestinian liberation. For many years Graylan served a church in Roxbury, MA, but currently is Pastor of the Plymouth Congregational Church in Washington, DC. Here he speaks at the Jerusalem Fund Palestine Center in DC.

Rev. Hagler describes some of his experiences in his recent visit, among them being ordered at gunpoint to show his "papers." He compares Israel's oppression of Palestinians with the USA's historic program enslaving African Americans, tearing their families apart, robbing them of sustenance, etc.
This Week In Palestine (a weekly 8am feature of Truth and Justice Radio (TJR)) is an award-winning 45-minute (or more) segment of news from Palestine and discussion of issues relevant to the Palestinians' struggle for freedom from Israel's brutal military occupation and colonization of their homeland. It speaks from the point of view of Palestinians and those who care about them.
