Martin Luther King, Jr. had a long term strategic goal of not just ending racism but achieving equality, ending exploitation and war. His decision to oppose the Vietnam war and to organize the Poor Peoples March made him a marked man. It is time to remember he visited the newly independent countries of Algeria and Ghana, congratulating their leaders, Nkrumah and Ben Bella.
