What has Secretary-of-State Pompeo been up to while all eyes are on Trump? Pompeo's ambassador has announced that the United States will no longer constrain diplomatic relations with Taiwan. Note that when it comes to foreign affairs, Democrats have endorsed most of what Trump did. Do they endorse the escalation against China?
The Democrats supported Trump when he moved the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and when he claimed that the Golan Heights belonged to Israel. They supported him when he negotiated recognition of Israel by the Arab states, without liberating Palestine. This involved allowing Morocco to claim the Western Sahara, a dispute that risks war.
When Trump sets fire to various parts of the world, the Democrats acquiesce. Only when his supporters cause a ruckus at home do they react. And with the appointment of Victoria Nuland, we see that the 'new' Biden administration is the old Obama administration. Remember how Obama was supposed to save us from the madman Bush? It's Groundhog Day for Americans.
