Insurance and risk expert Joe Delaney joins us who lives on the Grenfell Tower estate, made a crucial 999 call and was evacuated on the night of the fire which killed 72 London tower block residents. He believes the UKs corporate manslaughter laws mean nobody may even be prosecuted for causing flammable cladding to have been fitted. Another legal point is that the majority of survivors have found it impossible to afford lawyers because of Kenneth Clarkes swinging cuts to legal aid in 2013. Personally Joe still hasnt got equivalent housing after having to live in a hotel for so long he was worn down by Kensington and Chelsea council who, he says, care more about money than they do about the survivors. Though firemen were criticised Joe believes the real problems lie in the cuts to the fire services instituted by now Prime Minister, former mayor of London, Boris Johnson who told those concerned about the effects of fire service cuts to "get stuffed" when London mayor.
