Gibraltar is a British Outpost, commanding the entrance/exit to the Mediterranean sea. It rightly belongs to Spain, but the British won't give it back. And they don't trust Spain to do their bidding at this strategic spot. But when the US commands, the UK obeys. So British marines took over an Iranian vessel, in complete violation of international law. Empires can't change their habits. Iran, Russia, China and other self-respecting states are no longer trifling in their response.
